Dorothy Landers Bannan Obituary
Dorothy Landers Bannan of New Smyrna Beach, Florida Dorothy Landers Bannan, 93, formerly of West Chester, died on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. She was the wife of Norbert H. Bannan with whom she shared 67 years of marriage. Born in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of the late George Landers and the late Edith Renard Landers. Dorothy was a graduate of West Chester High School. She worked at West Chester Paper Box and Woolworth's 5&10. She retired from Denny Tag in West Chester. After retiring, they moved to Florida in 1981. Dorothy and Norbert loved camping, fishing and boating. She also loved metal detecting, working in her garden and going to flea markets. She also enjoyed to crochet and loved animals. She had a Christmas tree that was decorated with all the toys from Burger King happy meals. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Robert Bannan and his wife Anna, Norbert Bannan, II and Steven Bannan and his wife Karen and daughter, Donna Shaw. Also, she is survived by her siblings, Frank Landers, Renard Landers, Edith White, Evelyn Clay, Eleanor Morrell, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Alonso, George, John,Wayne, Anthony, Elizabeth Murphy, Aletha Spence and Arthur Renard . Relatives and Friends are invited to her Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday June 7th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Macular Degeneration Foundation, Inc.
