Obituary Condolences

Edwin Henry Dornseif Jr. of Coatesville Edwin Henry Dornseif, Jr., of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Edna (nee Procknow) Dornseif for 64 years. Ed served his country during World War II with the Army's 96th Infantry division in the Pacific Theater. He was awarded the Bronze Star for valor in Okinawa. He was a devoted worker and member of Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, serving on church council and the board of elders for many years. He was a manufacturer's representative for Dornseif and Associates, Inc. and secretary/treasurer before retiring in 1982. Ed was the loving father of Karen Clemmer and husband Reid of Allentown, Dr. Bruce Dornseif and wife Brenda of Flemington, N.J., David Dornseif of Coatesville and Mark Dornseif and wife Jennifer of Highlands Ranch, Colo. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Jamie, Jennifer, Christopher, Bryan, Jonathan and Chelsea, and his great-grandchildren, Mason, Anya, Danica, Marcus, Noah and Macarten. Ed's love of family and friends, his devotion to his faith and church and his keen sense of humor will be treasured by all who knew him. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, Line Road and Paoli Pike, Malvern, PA 19355. Friends and family may call at church from 9:30 to 11 a.m. before services. Interment will follow services at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
