Eleanore Forrell of Honey Brook Eleanore Forrell, 92, passed away on May 15, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Adolf and Katherine (nee Berzler) Winter. She was the wife of the late Otto Forrell who passed away in 1989. Eleanore is survived by her sons, Eric A. Forrell and his wife Carol and Andrew P. Forrell and his wife Marilyn, her grandchild, Alison M. Forrell, and her great-grandchildren, Samantha J. Raby, Emily A. Schreiner, and Erica M. Schreiner. Her brother, Arthur Winter, preceded Eleanore in death. Eleanore received a college degree in foreign languages from Hunter College in New York. She worked for the Acker, Moffit, and Acker Law Firm where she retired as a bookkeeper. Eleanore was an avid reader, she loved singing and was a member of various choruses, German American Singing Societies, and The Bayerischer Saengerbund. She was a member of the German Chorus and the German Club at Hunter College. Eleanore's Life Celebration Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 21, at the Tel Hai Chapel, 1200 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, PA 19344. Visitation will be from 10 until 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers to please consider a donation to the Eleanore Forrell Library Fund c/o Honey Brook Community Library, 687 Compass Rd., PO Box 1082, Honey Brook PA 19344.
