Emma Jeanne Worthen Whiting of Berwyn Emma Jeanne Worthen Whiting of Berwyn Pa., passed away early Saturday morning, November 17, 2012. She was an elegant, loving, gracious woman. Born in Bridgeport Connecticut, an only child, she graduated from the University of Connecticut and was very active in volunteer work. She was past president of the local DAR, and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and the Mayflower Society. Emma was a volunteer at Paoli Memorial Hospital Thrift Shop and the Veterans Hospice in Valley Forge. She will be dearly missed by her three children, Jocelyn Blaskey (Richard), Timothy Whiting (Bobbie) and Richard Whiting (Debbie), and her thirteen grandchildren; Windy Brewster, Christopher Whiting, Meghan Hunter, Bonnie Glavin, Geoffrey Blaskey, Courtney Dameron, Erica Whiting, Emily Brewster, Timothy Whiting, Benjamin Whiting, Samuel Whiting, Helen Whiting and Luke Whiting. She is also survived by eight Great Grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, Richard Alden Whiting Sr. and her daughter Jeanne Louise Brewster. A memorial service, celebrating her life will be held on Sat. November 24th at 11a.m. at Wayne Presbyterian Church, 125 E. Lancaster Ave. Wayne Pa. 19087.
