Eugene Michael FitzMaurice of Berwyn Eugene "Gene" Michael FitzMaurice, 67, of Berwyn, formerly of Valley Forge, passed away on Tuesday November 8, 2011. He was the husband of Ann FitzMaurice. Gene was a graduate of Villanova University and Boston College Law School. After law school, Gene clerked for the Honorable John Lord of the United States District Court for the Eastern Court of Pennsylvania. Following his clerkship, Gene was an associate with Simpson, Thatcher & Bartlett of New York City and later with White & Williams of Philadelphia. Gene would go on to spend over twenty years as Senior Counsel of the Atlantic Richfield Corporation and ARCO Chemical Company. Gene was also an accomplished author of three novels: Circumstantial Evidence, The Hawkeland Cache and The Indulgence. Gene is survived by three children, David, Hillary and Dana FitzMaurice. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, at Saint Isaac Jouges Church, 50 Walker Road, Wayne, PA 19087. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Gene's honor to the donor's favorite charity.
