Frank A. Lasak Jr. of Cochranville Frank A. Lasak, Jr., 54 of Cochranville, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013. He was the husband of Janice Underhill Lasak with whom he celebrated 26 years of marriage on July 19th of last year. He was born in Coatesville, son of Frank A. Sr. and Mary Jane "Winkie" Dooley Lasak of Coatesville. He was a very active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Coatesville where he was Eucharistic Minister and Lector, and past CCD teacher and president of the parish council. He worked for over 23 years for Automated Financial Systems of Exton. Frank graduated from Bishop Shanahan High School class of 1976 and Penn State in 1980 with a B.S. in accounting. He enjoyed playing golf with family and friends and family vacations to Smuggler's Notch, Vt. He was a dance dad, attending all of his daughters' dance events. Surviving besides his wife; are three daughters, Sarah E., Johanna M. "Jennie" and Catherine F. Lasak, all at home; two siblings, Ann Marie wife of Daniel McNeilly of Middletown, N.Y. and Stephen E. husband of Sarah Yager Lasak of Glenmoore. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 11th at from the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 404 Charles Street, Coatesville, with Father John V. Oulds officiating. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery of Coatesville. There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, Pa. and again from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Friday, at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Camp Donegal, 303 East Telegraph Road, Airville, PA 17302; St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 404 Charles St., Coatesville, PA 19320; or to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Pancreatic Cancer Surgical Research Fund, Attention Laura Goldstein, 925 Chestnut St., Suite 110, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
