Gordon Stevenson of Chester Springs Gordon Stevenson, 76, of Chester Springs, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Arlene Stevenson (nee Wilson), with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Gordon was the son of the late Gordon and Lillian Stevenson. In addition to his wife, Mr. Stevenson is survived by his daughter, Shelly Anderson and her husband, Tom, of Glenmoore; grandchildren, Blake, Mackenzie, and Tristan; brothers, Robert, John, and Brian Stevenson, and Paul Montbriand; sisters, Betty Brown, Victoria Montbriand, and Betty McKillop. Gordon was predeceased by his daughter Shawn Stevenson and brother Patrick Stevenson. Gordon proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces for five years as an instrument technician. Before his retirement in 2010, he was employed as an engineer for Bechtel Corporation for over 30 years. Gordon's career took him and his family to numerous states, countries, and continents all over the world. Spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends was Gordon's greatest joy. His family finds peace in the knowledge that Gordon was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by a gracious God. Gordon's life will be celebrated with friends and family at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 14, at Central Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Uwchlan Ave. (Route 113), Downingtown.
