Obituary Condolences

Hazel A. Weed of Downingtown Hazel A. Weed, 98, passed away following a long illness on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Simpson Meadows. She was surrounded by the friends whom she loved and who loved her. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Linton G. Weed, and daughter of the late William and Daisey Hansen Dunn. During a career spanning fifty years, Hazel was a talented orchestral violinist playing as concert master in several regional orchestras. Mrs. Weed is survived by her daughter, Dr. Lynette A. Wilson and son in law, Donald A. Wilson of Boiling Springs, S.C.; son, Dr. Linton G. Weed of Bend, Ore.; grandson, Dr. Scott A. Wilson of Herndon, Va.; granddaughter, Laura L. Szynalski and her husband Dennis Szynalski of Boiling Springs, S.C; brother, Lester Dunn of Boulder, Colo.; and great grandchildren, Andrew and Kayla Szynalski. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 19th at the Central Presbyterian Church, 100 West Uwchlan Avenue, Downingtown, where friends and family may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, in Zion, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the in her memory. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the James J. Terry Funeral Home, Downingtown.
