Howard "Pete" Epp

Howard "Pete" Epp of West Chester. Howard "Pete" Epp, 76 of West Chester, died Friday, November 18, 2011 at home. He was the companion of the late Helen F. DiFerdinado. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late George Raymond Epp, Sr. & the late Margaret Cecilia McGill Epp. Pete was a 1954 graduate of West Chester Joint Senior High School and played on their 1954 Chest-Mont Championship Basketball team where he played an essential role in the game. He worked at the sewage plant for West Goshen Township and retired after 25 years of service. Pete was a member of the West End and Thorndale Fire Companies, the Knights of Columbus, Council 1333 of West Chester, St. Anthony's Lodge of Downingtown and the VFW Post 845 of Thorndale. He was also a member of other fraternal organizations. Pete is survived by his nephew, George R. Epp III and sister-in-law, Margaret Broyles Epp both of West Chester and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by eight siblings.
