Obituary Condolences

Howard Morton Mannheim of Landenberg Howard Morton Mannheim, 74, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at the Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester. He was the husband of Carlotta Stephens Mannheim, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Henry and Ruth Karmiol Mannheim. Howard was the chief operating officer at the former Peoples Bank of Oxford from 1996 to 2004. He was a member of the West Grove Rotary Club. In past years, he served on the boards of Southern Chester County Medical Center and London Britain Township Land Trust. He was also executive director of 202 Housing. For many years, he served as a coach and umpire for Little League. Survivors include, in addition to his wife, two sons, Darryl and his wife, Karen, of Landenberg and Donald of Bethany Beach, Del.; two daughters, Tami McClatchey and her husband, Mike, of Ellicott City, Md. and Shari McAllister and her husband, Rob, of Wilmington, Del.; one brother, Daniel Mannheim and his wife, Rosie, of Casselberry, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Bruce Stephens and his wife, Louise, of Bethlehem; three grandchildren, Koty, Cooper, and Caleb; and niece, Amy, and nephews, Brian and Joel.
