James T. Rupert Obituary
James T. Rupert of Downingtown James T. Rupert, 28, of Downingtown, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 23, 2012. Born in Philadelphia, he was the beloved son of Thomas and Marsha Rupert of Exton. A 2001 graduate of Downingtown High School, he was a current student of Delaware County Community College. Jim was a former assistant coach for the Downingtown East track team. He was a loyal fan of the Phillies, Flyers, Eagles, and the University of North Carolina. He enjoyed attending many sporting events with family and friends. Jim also loved music and playing the guitar. In addition to his parents, Jim is survived by a sister, Rebecca Beacher and husband, Matthew, of Pottstown; a brother, John Rupert and wife Lorelei of Columbus, Ind.; nieces, Gabrielle and Lillian, and nephew, Nathan James. He was predeceased by his grandparents, James and Esther Fields of Allison Park, Pa. and Glenn and Elinor Rupert of Poland, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 27, at Central Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Uwchlan Ave., Downingtown. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, and from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Monday, at the church. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Downingtown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jim Rupert Memorial Track Scholarship.
