John Edward Dorton of Malvern died at home on Thursday, June 30, 2011. He was 53.|
He was the beloved son of the late Ann Meyer Dorton and the late John J. Dorton.
He was a graduate of Ss. Philip & James School, Bishop Shanahan High School and Villanova University.
He worked for many years in the family construction business before moving to Florida. After returning to this area, he worked for the Radio Shack Corp.
He is survived by sister, Ann Dorton Bell and Michael J. Bell of Malvern; brother, Mark J. Dorton of Malvern; sister, Elizabeth Dorton Leonard and Kevin Leonard; nephew, Evan Leonard, and niece, Kaeli Leonard of East Goshen; and sister, Jean M. Dorton of Malvern.
His family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, nurses and hospice staff who helped their dear brother.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, at Ss. Philip & James Church, Route 30 and Ship Road.
Interment will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday in St. Agnes Cemetery, Pottstown Pike, West Chester.
In his memory, donations may be made to St. Christopher's Inn, Graymoor, 21 Franciscan Way, Garrison, NY 10524.
