Joseph A. Bonner Obituary
Joseph A. Bonner, of Smyrna, Del., formerly of West Grove Joseph A. Bonner, 57, of Smyrna, Del., formerly of West Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Sat., October 22, 2011. Joe was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School in 1972 and of The Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences in 1976. He was the son of the late John P. Bonner and Phyllis DeGenova Bonner of Collingdale; he was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Bonner. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nancy Francis Bonner; his children, Dr. Timothy Bonner, his wife, Devon, of West Grove, Jennifer Bonner, her fianc, Ty McCauslin of Harrisburg, Kerri Bonner Hocking, and her husband, Chuck, of Galena, Md.; six grandchildren, Tyler, Daphne, and Trent Bonner, Emily and Chase Hocking, and Sean McCauslin; his brother, John Bonner of Wilmington, Del.; his sister, Mary Ann Walsh of Norristown; 17 nieces and nephews; and seven brothers and sisters-in-law. Joe had a love for all animals, especially his four Yorkshire Terriers. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and a huge fan of his grandchildren and their sports. He enjoyed umpiring baseball and softball for various leagues in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Joe was an avid movie buff. He was a former board member of Avon Grove Area Little League and Avon Grove Recreation Association, and a member of the Chester County Civil War Round Table. He was employed by Computer Aid, Inc. (CAI) in Wilmington, Del. and formerly by URS-Greiner and Conrail. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 12 noon on Saturday, November 5, at Hockessin Memorial Hall, 1225 Old Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Hockessin Memorial Hall.
