Obituary Condolences

Kathleen Murray Cockerham of Malvern Kathleen Murray Cockerham of Malvern, entered into rest on February 7, 2012 after a lengthy illness at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 26, 1942 to the late Francis J. and Ulyssa (McMinimee) Murray. She is survived by her husband, William E. Cockerham, Jr. with whom she was married 36 years. She is also survived by her son, Carl J. Tarr, IV husband of Kim; daughter Denise (Tarr) Wallace wife of Angus; grandchildren, Billy, Allison, Jake, Amanda, and Cadey Tarr, Aileen and Lindsay Wallace; her aunt, E. Louise McMinimee; her siblings, Eileen (Murray) Stevens (her identical twin sister) wife of Paul; brothers Hugh Murray, Sr. husband of Ginny, Louis G. Murray, predeceased by her brothers, Francis J. Murray, Jr. husband of Suzanne and Michael J. Murray, Sr. husband of Diane; survived by nieces and nephews Joanne, John, Fran, Michael, Susan, Michelle, Heather, Jennifer, Corinne, Louis, Karen, Krista, Hugh, and Carolyn; and 18 great-nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Bishop Shanahan High School, class of 1959 and United Airlines Flight Attendant School in 1962. She was a finalist for Miss Transportation 1962. Kathleen was retired from Immaculata University as an administrative assistant in the Registrar's Office, she had also worked as a branch customer service administrator for Weiss Instruments (formerly Barber Colman Company), and had been a customer service representative for United Airlines. Kathleen loved spending time with her family, especially her seven grandchildren, who were the center of her world. She also enjoyed long drives through Lancaster County with her husband. Life Celebration services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, with a 9 to 11 a.m. visitation at the Mauger Givnish Funeral Home, 24 Monument Avenue, Malvern, where there will also be a visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, February 10.
