Obituary Condolences

Kathleen Weldon Graham of Exton Kathleen Weldon Graham, 82, of Exton, formerly of Fairfield, Conn., and wife of the late Joseph A. Graham Esq., passed away at Park Lane at Bellingham Rehabilitation Center Friday, September 14, 2012. Born in New York City, on March 4, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Martin J. and Rose Devlin Weldon. Kathleen spent part of her childhood growing up in Glasgow, Scotland; London, England and Kilkenny, Ireland. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law Kathleen Graham and Stephen M. Griffith of Exton and two adoring grandchildren, Meaghan Weldon Graham Griffith and Michael Patrick Graham Griffith, both of Exton, her sister Julia Oates of Bridgeport, Conn., nieces Imelda Bruce Sobiloff and Christina Sobiloff of New Jersey, Susan Oates Dwyer, and Rosemary Oates Bauer of Pennsylvania and nephews Thomas, John and John T. S. Oates, Emmitt Dwyer and Robert Bauer of Pennsylvania, Eugene Oates of South Korea and Michael Sobiloff of New York City. She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Bruce of New Jersey. A graduate of Cathedral High School in Manhattan, Kathleen attended Fordham University and was a licensed real estate broker in Connecticut before moving to Exton. She was employed for 25 years as a marketing consultant for Southern New England Telephone Company in Connecticut, retiring in 1991. She was a strong and loving partner and advocate for her husband, Joe, an attorney who was paralyzed after a brain tumor but survived for 11 years in the Veteran's Administration Hospital in West Haven, Conn., thanks to her care and devotion. Affectionately known as "Mimi" by her grandchildren and all their friends, she loved her family and her greatest pleasure was to give of herself in any way she could. She loved cruises, tracing family members on Ancestry. com, trips to Disney World with her grandchildren and especially a family reunion in August 2011 in Scotland. Friends may call Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave. in Downingtown between 6:30 and 8 p.m. Funeral services and burial will take place in Connecticut.
