Linda Mayson Hartman Obituary
Linda Mayson Hartman of West Chester Linda Mayson Hartman, 69, of West Chester, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at Sunrise Senior Living of Westtown after a long and courageous struggle with Alzheimer's. Linda died peacefully with her husband Alan R. Hartman at her side. Linda was born in Mobile, Ala. where she grew up and was the daughter of the late Hazel Pyle and Lewis Franklin Mayson. Linda attended Murphy High School in Mobile, where she graduated in 1961. After attending Auburn University, Linda returned to Mobile and worked for the First National Bank. After being at the bank for several years she moved to Washington D.C. and became an aide to an Alabama Congressman. Upon completion of her time in Washington she returned to Mobile and worked for the Chamber of Commerce. Upon moving to Pennsylvania, she worked for several West Chester preschools as a teacher's aide. This was her passion as she enjoyed working with young children. Linda was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of West Chester. Linda was always the life of the party and her smile would light up any room. She is survived by her husband Alan, whom she married on July 14, 1972; three children, Patrick (Ellen), David (Nikki) and Andrew (Jenny). She was the grandmother to four grandchildren, Addison, Sierra, Sadie and Brayden. Linda's family will celebrate her memory from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Friday March 1st, with Memorial Services held immediately following at 3 p.m. at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380; 610-696-1181; www.DellaFH.com.
