Margaret Greer "Peggy" Davis Obituary
Margaret 'Peggy' Greer Davis of West Chester Margaret "Peggy" Greer Davis, 67, of West Chester, died Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md. She was the wife of Edward Hall Davis, Jr., with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Born August 4, 1944 in Long Island, N.Y. (a birthday she shared with her mother), she was the daughter of the late James McKinley and Marcella Dyzenkowski Greer. She graduated from West Chester High School in 1962 (now Henderson High School), West Chester, and began her career as an executive secretary. She worked for 20 years at the First National Bank of West Chester and most recently at Wyeth (Pfizer) for the past 15 years. Peggy was a member of the Picket Post Swim and Tennis Club and the United States Tennis Association. She loved tennis, paddle, dinner with girlfriends and taking care of all her animals, both indoor and outdoor. In addition to her husband, Peggy is survived by her daughter, Lisa and her husband Larry Cheskin and granddaughter Libby, all of Dayton, Md.; a sister, Carole McAnaney of Hilton Head, S.C.; niece Karin McAnaney of Philadelphia; and nephew Tim McAnaney of San Francisco, Calif. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Sat., Feb. 18, at Covenant Fellowship Church, 1 Fellowship Drive, Glen Mills, PA 19342. Burial will take place in Birmingham Cemetery.
