Margaret J. "City" Dickinson Obituary
Margaret J. "City" Dickinson, 86, of Stevens, formerly of Downingtown, passed away on Saturday, Aug 23, 2014.
Born in Londonderry Township on March 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Catherine Ferron Walker.
Margaret worked for various businesses, Woolworth's of West Chester, Borroughs of Downingtown, Kings Kountry Kitchen of Downingtown and Friendly's of Malvern.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Charles F. Dickinson; daughters, Margaret Anderson of Coatesville, Ruth (Thomas) Murdaugh of Milton, Del., and Terri (David) Ross of Orwigsburg; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Paul J. Dickinson; and brothers, Brian J. Walker, Charles A. Walker, Eugene Patrick Walker and Robert H. Walker.
Relatives and friends are invited to Margaret's Life Celebration from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, with her funeral service at 11 a.m., at Ralston and Bredickas of Downingtown, 107 W. Lancaster Ave., 1-800-GIVNISH.
Interment will be in Northwood Cemetery.
