Marjorie Sue Hammond Obituary
Marjorie Sue Hammond of West Brandywine Marjorie Sue Hammond, 83, of West Brandywine, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Brandywine Hospital. She was the beloved wife of John W. Hammond, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Canton, Ohio, Sue was the daughter of the late William L. and Marjorie McBane McIntosh. She received her bachelors of science degree from Ohio State University in 1951. Sue was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Downingtown and an ordained elder. She was also involved in the Presbyterian Committees New Comer Club in Kennett Square and the Freedom Village Spiritual Committees. She loved to travel; visiting 47 states and 59 different countries. Mrs. Hammond was dedicated to her family and in addition to her husband, will be missed by her children, Margaret Lanzone of Phoenix, Ariz., Cathleen Bunge of Ganesville, Va., John W. Hammond, Jr. of Houston, Texas, and Barbara Smith of Lancaster; sisters, Barbara Fleming of Brunswick, Maine and Martha M. Hammond of West Brandywine; ten grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on March 19, 2013 at Freedom Village of Brandywine. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation, P.O.
