Martha E. Valentine Obituary
Martha E. Valentine of Ardmore Martha Elizabeth Valentine, affectionately known to her loved ones as Mot Mot, was born in West Chester on July 22, 1972 to Janice R. Valentine and the late James S. Valentine. Martha passed away after a short illness in Bryn Mawr Hospital on March 1, 2014. Martha graduated from Conestoga High School in 1992 and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 2013 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Martha was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. She was a kind hearted individual who befriended many people within the community. She was employed at Main Line Physical Therapy for 7 years. Mot Mot, was lovingly known ubiquitously for her love of decorating, dancing, and entertaining family and friends. Mot Mot was a member of many social clubs including the Empress Diamond Beauties, the 930 Social and the CP3 club of Ardmore. Her elegance shined through her sense of style and beautiful personality. Mot Mot's love for her children and grandchildren was unconditional. Mot Mot's beautiful smile and lively character could brighten any room. She never turned anyone away and was eagerly willing to help anyone in need. Mot Mot is survived by her mother, Janice Valentine of Upper Darby; her children, Alexis, Alexander, Jasmine, Kyra and Mylasia Valentine of Ardmore, and Malinda Sokowski of Bensalem; grandchildren, Paris Valentine, Anthony Jr. Parks, London Valentine, and Ayanna Parks of Ardmore; sisters, Marlo and Malinda Valentine of Upper Darby; brothers, Vincent King, James Dean, Darrell Lee and Lewis Raynard Valentine; nephew, Lewis Raynard Jr. and Taj Valentine; and nieces Veronica and Malana Valentine. She leaves a host of aunts, uncles, niece's cousins and one special auntie, Miss Jeanie Etheridge Harper, as well as, multitude of friends. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14th, with a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m., at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 127 Walnut Ave., Ardmore, PA 19003. Rev. Albert G. Davis, Jr. will officiate. Interment Fernwood Cemetery, Landsdowne. Arrangements are by Jackmon Funeral Home, Inc.
