Maxine E. Duea of Thornton Maxine E. Duea, 90, of Thornton, died on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at home. She was the wife of the late Bradford W. Duea. Born in Conway, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Irving Phillips and the late Velma Hannan Phillips She was an accomplished needle worker and seamstress. Maxine was a member of the Brandywine Baptist Church in Chadds Ford. She was a member of the Needlework Guild of America, Concordville Chapter and the Locksley Garden Club of Thornbury, which is one of the oldest Garden Clubs in the USA. She is survived by her children, Nanette Duea of West Chester, Margette D. Bianco of Milton, Genette D. Sitler of Los Altos, Calif.; and grandchildren, Lauren Sitler of Los Angeles, Calif., Benjamin Sitler of Singapore, Emily Sitler of Los Altos, Calif., and Bradley Brown of Milton. Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service, 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Brandywine Baptist Church, 1463 Baltimore Pike, Chadds Ford, PA 19317. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brandywine Baptist Church at the above address.
