Millard Grant Bidwell of Oxford Millard Grant Bidwell, 78, passed away on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, Del. He was the husband of Margaret Ann Ayers Bidwell with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Oxford, he was the son of the late J. Stanley and Leah Groseclose Bidwell. Millard worked with his father at the Transmission & Auto Glass Co., the American Motors Dealership and later owned the Dodge Dealership in Oxford. He was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Oxford Lodge #353 F.&A.M. and was a past member of the Oxford Lions Club. Millard was a scout master and member of The Order of the Arrow. Millard was active in many organizations and enjoyed building things. He is survived by his wife; son, Kevin G. Bidwell and his wife, Robin of Landenberg; daughter, Kathleen Margaret Bratton and her husband, William E. of Atglen; and two grandchildren, Tiffany Bidwell and Christina Bratton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Oxford United Methodist Church, 18 Addison St., Oxford, where friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. A Masonic service will also be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Oxford United Methodist Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Oxford United Methodist Church, 18 Addison St., Oxford, PA 19363.
