Nayyira Tahaba Amatul-Majid of Columbia, S.C. Nayyira Tahaba Amatul-Majid, 18, of Columbia, S.C. passed away on Nov. 8, 2012 in Great Falls, S.C. Born in Byrn Mawr, she was the daughter of Kalia T. Loper and the late Hasan Abdul-Majid. She was a graduate of the South Carolina Connections Academy, class of 2012. She was a member of the Beta Club, People to People Student Ambassador 2009, Who's Who and the Delta Academy. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Kalia and Eric Loper; maternal grandparents, Robert Jones and Diana Harris; brothers, Terrence Williams, Isa Abdul-Majid, Muhammad H. Abdul-Majid, Muhammad Y. Ibn-Hasan, Sean Loper, Matteo Loper and Eric AD Loper; sisters, Ayisha Williams-McCay, Safia Alakbar, Ruqayya Thomas, Sauleiha Bint Hasan; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Hasan Abdul-Majid and paternal grandparents, Donald and Georgette Collins Williams. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, from the Coatesville Cultural Society, 143 East Lincoln Highway, Coatesville.
