Rose Veronica Dolan Brown Obituary
Rose Veronica Brown, formerly of Downingtown Rose Veronica (Dolan) Brown passed away Dec. 24, 2013 in Sugar Land, Texas, at the age of 93. Born June 20, 1920, in Downingtown to James and Rose (Mullan) Dolan, she lived on Highland Avenue for most of her life. A graduate of Downingtown High School and Pierce Business School, she was an executive secretary in the Bakery Division of Pepperidge Farm, Downingtown, for over 25 years. A communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rose was active in the women's Altar Society and was, for many years, a Brownie leader. She will be remembered as an accomplished bridge player, a steadfast friend and, above all, a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Brown) Snodgrass, of Erieville, New York, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marie (Teneyuca) Brown, of Sugar Land, Texas; and two grandchildren, Elaine (Brown) Garza and Michael Brown. She was predeceased by her husband, H. Edwin Brown, and a daughter, Patricia Brown. A private funeral is being planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Rose's name to the Tuition Assistance Program, St. Laurence Catholic School, Sugar Land, Texas.
