Samuel A. Beam of Harford, Pa. Samuel A. Beam, 55, a resident of Harford, died Tuesday, January 2, 2012, in Northeast Pa. Hospice, in Scranton. His companion of many years is Nina Marie Mangan. Born in Malvern, he was the son of Luther W. Beam of Malvern and the late Norma Slyder Beam. He was a graduate of Great Valley High School, Chester County and was self employed as a landscaper. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He was a loving partner and good friend who will be deeply missed. Also survivng are three sisters, Karen Custer, of Malvern, Joyce Esser and husband David, of Kempton, and Donna Lineham, of Malvern, a brother, James Beam and wife Debra, of Malvern and five nephews, Bryan and Kevin Beam and Greg, Matt and Sam Esser. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 6, in the August J. Haas Funeral Home, Inc., 202 Pittston Ave., Scranton, with Pastor Kathleen Jamhoury, Interim Pastor of Providence United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in South Harford Cemetery.
