Obituary Condolences

Thomas D. Hutchins of Wilmington, Del. Thomas D. Hutchins, 44, of Wilmington, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, having suffered complications of Becker's muscular dystrophy. Born in Wilmington, Del., he grew up in West Grove. He was the son of Thomas W. Hutchins, the late Barbara (Decker) Novosel, and step-father Robert Novosel. Tom was a devoted husband of 15 years to Jennifer Rose (nee Mulvaney); loving brother to Michael (wife Elisha), Sarah Novosel and Lauren Berryhill; adored uncle of eight nieces and nephews; and was beloved by his faithful dog Bailey. Tom was a proud graduate of West Chester University and Avon Grove H.S. Over the past 10 years, he taught at the West Chester Area School District in their gifted program and then at G.A. Stetson Middle School in the social studies dept. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8th, followed by a Celebration of Life memorial service from 5 to 6 p.m. at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE. 19805. In lieu of flowers, the Delaware SPCA, 455 Stanton Christiana Road, Newark, DE 19713 and Museum of the American Revolution, The Corn Exchange Building, Suite 401, 123 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106 will be accepting donations in Tom's honor.
