Bruce Oas Obituary
Bruce Oas of Parkesburg Bruce Oas, 51, died on Monday, April 14, 2014, due to an auto accident. He was the devoted husband of Jane Lesser Oas with whom he shared 29 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, he was the son of Charles and Ann Morgan Oas of Unionville. Bruce was a 1981 graduate of Unionville High School where he was an asst. trainer for the basketball team. He was employed by Wyeth and then GlaxoSmith-Kline of Conshohocken for a total of 35 years, but many will remember him as a proud employee of Jimmy John's Pipin' Hot Sandwiches of West Chester where he worked since the age of 16. He was a member of the Parkesburg Baptist Church. He is survived, in addition to his wife and parents, by three children, Matthew Oas of Lancaster, Andrea Oas of Parkesburg, and Christopher Oas of Laguna Beach, Calif. Bruce is also survived by brothers, Charles Oas, Jr. (Karen) of Newtown Square and Steven Oas (Wendy) of Coatesville; nine nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Hattie Lesser; and sisters-in-law, Linda Lesser and Danielle Lesser. Bruce was a dependable friend to everyone, and he will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19th, at the Parkesburg Baptist Church, 103 West St., Parkesburg, PA 19365, followed by interment at Union Hill Cemetery in Kennett Square. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 until 11 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com.
