Francis Harding Lambert Obituary
Francis Harding Lambert of Coatesville Francis Harding Lambert, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 13, 2014 in the Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville, with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lena Wilkerson Lambert, who passed away in 1994, with whom he had shared 47 years of marriage. Born in Marshallton, Del., he was the son of the late Jeannette and Albert Lambert. Francis was employed at the Lambert Auto Body Shop in Coatesville as an auto mechanic for 45 years. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Francis enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his children, Francis Lambert (Deborah) of Parkesburg, Mary Jane Poe (Daniel) of Oxford, James Lambert of Coatesville, Chester Lambert (Doris) of Toughkenamon, Eleanor Lambert of Coatesville, Evelyn Lambert of Coatesville, Deborah Ann Johnson (Isiah) of Willingboro, N.J.; and sister-in-law, Ruth Jean Kellum of Coatesville; 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lena Allen and son, Eugene Lambert. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 21st, at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 819 Coates Street, Coatesville, with a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square.
