Barry E. Gorman, 75, of West Chester, formerly of Upper Darby, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester.|
Born May 21, 1935, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Violet (Edington) Gorman.
He was the widower of Barbara A. (Townsend) Gorman, who died July 5, 2007. At the time of her death they were married for 49 years.
He worked in sales at All Fill. He also worked for Augers Unlimited and machinery companies.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Barry loved animals; feeding squirrels and birds was a favorite pastime of his. He loved to fish. He also liked to dabble in his workshop at home, making and fixing things. He also loved to go to the DK Diner in West Chester where everybody knew Barry.
He is survived by a daughter, Tracy, wife of T. J. Male; and a son, Todd Gorman. He was the loving grandfather of Jason and Lauren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, at the Frank C. Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road, Broomall.
Burial will be private.
Friends are invited to call at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
