Pamela Sudell Kennedy Davis Obituary
Pamela Sudell Kennedy Davis of Malvern Pamela Sudell Kennedy Davis, 55, of Malvern, passed away on October 8, 2011 after a 5 1/2- year battle with breast cancer. She was born in Philadelphia on January 30, 1956. She attended St. John the Baptist in Manayunk, and graduated from Roxborough High School in 1973. She is survived by her husband Greg, with whom she shared 23 years of marriage, her precious daughter, Courtney Sudell Davis, her brother Joseph Patrick "Skipp" Kennedy, Jr., and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Elaine Benson Sudell Kennedy, and Joseph Patrick Kennedy, Sr. She gave up her position as an international sales coordinator in the late 1980's to be a stay-at-home mom, a position she relished. During those years, she worked various part-time positions, became active in volunteerism, local politics and fundraising. She also became a dealer in antiquities, played tennis and golf, and earned two degrees - an A.A. from Penn State, and a B.A. from Eastern University. She also earned credits for her Masters degree in counseling at Eastern, as her ultimate goal was to become a counselor. For a time she also served as a member of the East Whiteland Parks and Recreation Board. Prior to her diagnosis and treatments, she worked briefly as a caseworker for the Department of Public Welfare in Thorndale. A 10 a.m. Mass will be held for her Friday, October 14, at St. John the Baptist Church in Manayunk, 146 Rector St., Phila., PA 19127.
