Obituary Condolences

Cheryl K. Jackson of Huntingdon, formerly of Parkesburg Cheryl K. Jackson, 60, of Huntingdon, died Friday, March 23, 2012, at Altoona Hospital Campus, Altoona Regional Health System in Altoona. She was born August 9, 1951 in Coatesville. She married Stephen E. Jackson on June 9, 1973 at the Hephzibah Baptist Church in Coatesville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Jean W. Kolodski of Parkesburg; sons, Michael E. Jackson and Gregory A. Jackson, both of Huntingdon; grandchildren, Colin E. Jackson of Tyrone and Julie K. Jackson of Huntingdon; sisters, Audrey Ball of Oviedo, Fla. and Shari Moffat of Malvern; and sister-in-law, Florie (Takaki) Kolodski of Bryson City, N.C. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph E. Kolodski and a brother, Joseph D. Kolodski. She was a member of the First Regular Baptist Church in Huntingdon. She was a graduate of Octorara Area High School, class of 1969 and East Stroudsburg State College, class of 1973. She was employed by the Huntingdon Area School District as an elementary teacher at Woodcock Valley and Southside Elementary Schools for 33 years, retiring in 2007. She was a member of PA Retired Teachers Assoc. and a volunteer for PRIDE. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, at First Regular Baptist Church, 6th & Mifflin Sts., Huntingdon, PA16652, with Pastor John Staje officiating. Friends may call after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon.
