Mildred Price "Mid" Slauch Obituary
Mildred Price 'Mid' Slauch of Oxford Mildred Price "Mid" Slauch, 84, of Oxford passed away on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Jennersville Regional Hospital. She was the wife of the late James P. Slauch with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Johnson City, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruby Vines Price. Mildred was a pre-school teacher at Bethany Christian School, Oxford She was a member of Manor Presbyterian Church, Cochranville, Green Thumb Garden Club, Oxford, Antique Club and home fellowship group. She was a driver for the Oxford Meals on Wheels for many years. She enjoyed bridge, gardening, antiques, bible study and her dog, Maggie and cat, Redner. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Jennie L. Sapp and her husband, Kenneth S. of Oxford and Melissa S. Hostetter and her husband, William L. of Oxford; three grandchildren, Aimee J. Smoker, Kevin S. Sapp and Phillip A. Hostetter; five great-grandchildren, Erika, Julia, Caleb, Avery and Anna; one brother, Richard Price of Arendtsville; and one sister, Linda Orner of Colorado Spring, Colo. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebekah Hostetter. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at the Oxford Cemetery, 220 N. Third St. Oxford. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Missions Fund at Manor Presbyterian Church, 505 Street Rd., Cochranville, PA 19330. Arrangements are being handled by the Edward L.
