Edwin G. Ingersoll Jr. Obituary
Edwin G. Ingersoll Jr. of Exton Edwin G. Ingersoll, Jr., 72, of Exton, died peacefully on Sept. 23, 2013, with family by his side. He was born in Philadelphia where he spent his early years. After moving to Altoona, he graduated from Altoona High School and attended St. Edwards University in Texas. Ed was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving ten years in Naval Intelligence. He was an employee of PECO and retired in 1995. He was a member of the NRA and a lifelong member of the Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid hunter and gardener with a strong love of nature. He was the dear partner of Dolores D. Hagerstrom; loving father of Edwin III (Diane), Mark (Joanne), Matthew Ingersoll and Mary Margaret Henning; brother of Thomas (Barbara) and Donald Sr. (Kathi) Ingersoll; and is also survived by his grandchildren, Amelia, Sophia, Lilliana, Morgan, Christopher, Kaylee, and Isabella. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., followed by his funeral Mass at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 28th, at St. Ann's R.C. Church, 502 S. Main St., Phoenixville, PA 19460. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Edwin's memory to the Chester County Council Boy Scouts of America Capital Campaign, 504 S. Concord Rd., West Chester, PA 19382.
