Agnes Marie (nee Yanni) Curtis, 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2014, surrounded by her children.|
A resident of Paoli for the last 51 years, she was the wife of the late Roy W. Curtis, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.
Born in Devon, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Palmina (DiLucia) Yanni.
Agnes is survived by her children, Steve (Kathy) Curtis, Dennis (Linda) Curtis, Tom Curtis, Roy (Julie) Curtis and Donna Curtis; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Sarah Olivieri, Mamie Yanni, Dora Rubbo, Josie D'Ambrosio, Pauline Yanni, Helen Andriole and Annie Nudy; and one brother, Phil Yanni.
Agnes loved to play cards with her family and friends as well as doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
After raising her family, she worked with her administrative background for several local employers before retiring.
She and her husband also loved to travel.
Agnes was a gentle, loving woman who devoted her life to friends and the church but most of all to her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at St. Norbert Church, 50 Leopard Road, Paoli, PA 19301.
Interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park in Frazer.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, prior to the Mass, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Norbert Church at the above address.
Arrangements are being handled by the Alleva Funeral Home Inc., Paoli.
