Anita D. Grano Obituary
Anita D. Grano (Ganzelli) of Downingtown Anita D. Grano, 91, beloved sister of Rose Grano Barford and Sarah Grano, passed away on May 11, 2014 at the home of her niece and nephew, Carolyn and Joseph Ganzelli. When Anita was diagnosed with breast cancer in March this year her niece, Carolyn, became her primary care-giver with the loving support of her husband, Joe and their three sons, Joe Jr., Josh and Andrew. Anita is survived by two sisters, Rose Grano Barford and Sarah Grano; 10 nieces and nephews, Gerry, Stella, Tish, Sylvia, Jack, Brian, Becky, Carolyn, Mark and Kathleen; 49 great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Charles and Dante Garno; and three sisters, Cecila and Stella Grano and Olga Horn; and one nephew, Joseph. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17th, at the Daylesford Abbey, 220 S. Valley Road, Paoli. Interment will be private at the request of the family. Memorial contributions in Anita's name may be made to the Brendan Bovard Foundation Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104; or to a local hospice of your choice.
