Christine Greenawalt Obituary

Christine M. Greenawalt of West Chester Christine "Chrissy" M. Greenawalt (nee Quinn) of West Chester, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015. Chrissy was born on July 7, 1966 in Drexel Hill, Pa. to her proud parents, the late Jack and Kit Quinn. She attended St. Andrew's School and Archbishop Prendergast High School, both in Drexel Hill. Chrissy graduated from Millersville University and worked in the Nuclear Medicine field; well-regarded and appreciated by her patients and physicians alike. In 1995, she married Mark H. Greenawalt and later became a mother to three beautiful children. She travelled extensively and lived in England for several years, where she made friends from around the world. The pillars of her legacy are kindness, understanding, laughter and an overwhelmingly altruistic desire to just help people. She was called to her Lord's side this week, ending an amazingly hard-fought, four-year battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her proud family which includes her husband, Mark Greenawalt of West Chester and her children, Andrew, Kate, and Michelle. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Jim (Nancy), Dave (Karen), Jean (Len Zimmerman), Helen (Pat Tursi), John (Terry), Stephen (Terri), William (Lynn), Andrew (Theo), Daniel (Kelly), Kathleen (Rocco Arcaro), Michael Quinn, Robbie Quinn, and Mary (Dave Wells). An evening visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1105 East Lincoln Highway, Exton, Pa. A service in celebration of Chrissy's life will take place on Monday starting at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Church. Interment will be private. As the church will furnish flowers for the services, donations in lieu of flowers can be made to either the American Cancer Society or St. Paul's Church, Exton, a primary source of her strength over the years. Arrangements are being handled by the James J. Terry Funeral Home, Downingtown. To send online condolences, visit www. jamesterryfuneralhome.com.

My condolences to the Quinn family. I grew up in Drexel Hill knowing the Quinn family and still keep in touch with a few of her family members. I last saw Chrissy, unfurtunately, at her mothers viewing. She was always nice and had a smile. My prayers go out to her family.

I'm very sorry that Chrissy passed away. She was such a nice person, with a great personality and witty sense of humor. Chrissy was one of 14 children, but never got " lost in the shuffle " because of her endearing personality. Such a kind person, she will be dearly missed by all that she touched. My sincere condolences to Mark and her children. Sincerely, Brian and Kathy Kane
