Frank Gianforte Obituary

Frank Richard Gianforte of West Chester Frank Richard Gianforte, 78, of West Chester, died on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Paoli Hospital. Beloved husband of Betty Nunnari Gianforte and the late Dale Douglass Gianforte. Frank was born on Jan. 19, 1937 in Newark, N.J. to the late Dominick and Helen Pennella Gianforte. He received a mechanical engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology of Hoboken, N.J. and his Masters degree in aerospace engineering from San Diego State University. Frank worked for General Dynamics from 1958-1963 and then General Electric in the Aerospace Division from 1963-1983. After retiring from General Electric, he owned and managed rental properties on Long Beach Island, N.J., including a Beach Haven Bed and Breakfast and built oceanfront houses in Ship Bottom, N.J. He built a home in Beach Haven, N.J. where he lived full-time prior to moving to Hershey’s Mill in West Chester. Frank enjoyed playing golf, and was a juried artisan and exhibited his Gourd Art at many shows. He also spent a number of years volunteering for Good Works, Habitat for Humanity and as a mentor at Chester County SCORE. He was a long time member and Elder of Paoli Presbyterian Church where served on the “Tool Belt Ministry” and was Chair of the Property Committee. He was the dear father of Greg Gianforte (Susan), Douglass Gianforte (Jan), and Michael Gianforte (Karen); loving brother of Elle Gianforte (Joseph Reisdorf); and devoted grandfather of nine. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Frank’s life celebration service on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Paoli Presbyterian Church 225 South Valley Road Paoli. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter 321, Norristown Road, Suite 260 Ambler, PA 19002. www.maugergivnish.com

We have such fond memories of Frank and Dale - they were so cute together. We miss Dale and now Frank too - so sad to have lost both of them. We're thinking of Betty and the entire family at this sad time. What a loss.
