Brotemarkle, Robert and Helen  
Robert and Helen Brotemarkle died in a sudden and tragic car accident on June 12, 2016. Bob was the son of Robert and Alice Brotemarkle and was born in Kansas City, MO, on March 25, 1931. Helen was the daughter of August and Sophie Luehrman and was born in Lexington, MO, on August 4, 1934. Bob spent 4 maturing years in the Air Force before meeting Helen, who was teaching music at the time. They were married on June 29, 1962. Robert is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia. Helen is a graduate of Missouri Valley, Marshall, MO, and has multiple Masters degrees from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Robert worked as an account executive at Western Electric/Lucent in Kansas City. Helen pursued her passion of music and early childhood development, working as an elementary music teacher and then as founding Director of Red Door Children's Development Center, Lee's Summit, MO. She was also closely involved with the League of Women Voters and local planning organizations during the 1970's. Robert and Helen were very involved with St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Raytown, MO, where Helen was the organists for 30 years. After both retired they moved to Surprise, AZ, and into the community of Sun City Grand. They eventually became intricately involved in the parish of All Saints of the Desert Episcopal Church, Sun City. The Church welcomed them with open arms and fully embraced their membership to which they were grateful. Robert also belonged to the Telephone Pioneers of America, Lee's Summit, MO, and Masonic Lodge, Raytown, MO. He was a past member of Scottish Rite, Missouri Valley, and Ararat Shrine Temple, Kansas City, MO. Helen was President of the local PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) chapter and an active member of The Order of the Daughters of the King. She graced many local music events and groups with her gifts on the piano and organ. Robert and Helen Brotemarkle are survived by their two sons, David and John. David is married to Rosane and lives in Medford, NY. John is married to Michelle and lives in Virginia Beach, VA. They have two granddaughters, Amanda and Sophie, both daughters of John and Michelle. Robert is also survived by his sister, Betty Ann Luehrman, of Kansas City. Both are survived by many devoted nieces and nephews. Their life will be celebrated in conjunction with the 4:00 pm service at All Saints of the Desert Episcopal Church on Saturday, June 18. A future memorial service and final inurnment will be held at All Saints this fall. Gaffield, Janet Kaye  
Janet Kaye Gaffield was born December 8, 1945, in Centerline, Michigan, to parents Eugene (Rod) Gaffield, Donna C. Gaffield (deceased) formally of Lexington, MI. She is survived by brother, Gary E. Gaffield, D.O. Concrete, WA; cousin, Joy Schietman, Bay City, MI; nieces, Kim Rosner, San Diego, CA & Kerri Polich, Phoenix, AZ; nephews, Geoffrey Gaffield, Hamilton, WA & David Graham, Kinder, LA; others: Erik Rosner, Karter Rosner, Victoria Polich, Amanda Polich, Hunter Graham, Wyatt Graham. Janet Gaffield, graduated from Cros-Lex High School in Croswell, MI attended Port Huron Junior College then transferred to Truman State University in Kirksville, MO and received a degree in Elementary Education. She moved to Arizona in 1970 and became a 4th grade teacher at the Ira Murphy Elementary School in Peoria, AZ and retired from that position. Following her retirement from teaching she joined the usher staff at the Cardinal Stadium in Glendale, AZ, and served until her death. Janet loved her students, her dogs and Arizona. Her death was unexpected on June 17, 2016. Private family arrangements have been made. Holdway, Margaret "aka Peg" (Sterne)  
Margaret Holdway, aka Peg (Sterne) passed away suddenly on June 15, 2016, in her home at Grandview Terrace, Sun City West, AZ. Peg was 85 and is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert C. Holdway, to whom she was married for over 64 years. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, and met him there while they both worked at Dun & Bradstreet. Peg and Bob raised their four sons in New Jersey. During those years she ran a busy household, and worked as a bookkeeper maintaining the financial records and payrolls for several small businesses and as the manager of accounting and human resources at a privately-held chemical company. In 1987, they retired to Sun City West, where she pursued an interest in weaving and served as the president of the local weavers club. Peg was a wonderfully caring mother and grandmother who baked cookies, sent cards and gifts, and took a thoughtful interest in each member of her growing family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by son Robert G. of Chestnut Hill, MA, his wife Elin H. Graydon, and their daughters Alison T. Holdway and Laura E. Holdway; son David W. of Palm Springs, CA; son Richard D. of Palm Springs, CA and his husband Craig J. Magaw; and son Kenneth W. of Calabasas, CA, his wife Debra L. Holdway, and their children Cynthia A. (Levy) Canchola (and her husband Cristobal), Michael S. Levy (and his husband Enrique L. Mendoza), and Matthew W. Holdway. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Anna Sterne of Fort Myers, FL, and her nieces Barbara Sterne and Deborah Schrimmer. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 25th at the Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, 13459 W. Stardust Blvd., Sun City West, AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Peg's memory to the Desert Southwest Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association (1028 East McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85006) or the Michael J. Johnson, Pamela Ann  
Pamela Ann Johnson loving wife of Paul Johnson went to God June 23, 2016. Pam was from Pawling NY. She graduated from Pawling High School ln 1968 where she was National Honor Society, Merit Scholar and a NY State scholarship winner. Pam attended SUNY Binghamton majoring in Art History. Pam held many positions in business, managing two corporate and personal travel agencies, Finance manager for Sloper Willen Ambulance Service and Executive Director for Emergency Treatment Associates. Pam is survived by her loving husband of 38 years and a sister Raena Honan. Pam loved London, reading, travel and being a homebody after retiring. Her loving smile will be missed by all. MacMillan, Howard J.  
Howard J. MacMillan, 88, of Sun City, AZ, passed away on May 31, 2016. "Jerry" was born in Oradell, NJ in 1927 and moved to AZ from NJ in 2003. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Raemalee; his 3 daughters, Christine Calvin of Pleasant Valley, NY, Wendy Holden of Poway, CA and Nancy MacMillan of San Diego, CA. He is additionally survived by his brother, Harold and his wife Nancy of Granbury, TX, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 23rd at Mt.
