Mikelson, Joan Pask, 85, of Sun City West, AZ, entered peacefully into eternal rest on March 4, 2013 at Rock Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Surprise, AZ. Jodie was born in Souht Bend, IN, on September 2, 1927 to Charles E. Pask and Ruth G. Pask. Jodie was athletic and loved figure skating, swimming, golf, baseball, playing the piano, bridge, and choir singing. She met her future husband, Dwane G. Mikelson, in her sophomore year at Purdue University
where she pledged Delta Gamma sorority, and as a Purdue graduate she was loyal to Purdue and her sorority until her death. She was married to Dwane in Ft. Wayne, IN, in 1949, and she is survived by her husband, Dwane; daughter, Ann R. Luchsinger and son-in-law Brad Luchsinger of Omaha, NE; son, Scott T. Mikelson and daughter-in-law Nadine Mikelson of Macungie, PA; sister-in-law Carol J. Sheler and brother-in-law James Sheler of Sun City West, AZ. Her eldest son, Jeffrey C. Mikelson was taken to Heaven by the Lord in 2009. Jodie is also survived by five grandchildren: granddaughters Kari Connelly of Lincoln, NE; Kate Luchsinger of Omaha, NE; Allison Mikelson and Kristen Mikelson of Macungie, PA; grandson Colton Luchsinger of San Diego, CA and great grandson, Tyson Connelly of Lincoln, NE. Extended family members are Nellie Lasley of San Francisco, CA, Rob Halland Debra Keller of Vail, CO and Stan Goc of Sun City West, AZ. In her early married years, Jodie worked for several investment firms, and later became the director of a modeling school in Lincoln, NE. After retiring in 1987 she and her husband moved to Sun City West, AZ, to enjoy golf and bridge with friends, cruising and other travel. She loved her family, was loyal to her friends, and she will be greatly missed by her family. A memorial Service will be held in the chapel at Desert Palms Presbyterian Church In Sun City West, AZ at 11:00 a.m. on March 22, 2013. Memorials in Jodie's honor may be made to
