Charles T. DeSandro, 91, died peacefully February 3, 2014 in Sun City West, AZ. He was born to Carmine and Maria (Spaziano) DeSandro on June 17, 1922.
He attended Maumee High School and graduated class of 1942, following high school he entered the U.S. Naval Service, and after military service he attended University of Florida 1948.
Charles is survived by his wife, Betty (Singleton) DeSandro, Sun City West, AZ; two sons, Daniel DeSandro of Scottsdale, AZ and David DeSandro of Lutz, FL; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Richard DeSandro, five sisters and seven brothers.
Charles was the Director of Recreation Fernandina Beach, FL, and returned to Ohio as Director of Custodial Services at Bowling Green State University. Charles moved to Arizona in 1978 where he held numerous public relations positions within the community, was also a member and President of the Sun Cities of Arizona Ohio Club 1983-1994.
