Alan G. Bickel, 76, of Sun City, Arizona died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 10, 2012.

Alan received a B.S. in Education/Industrial Arts and taught High School Industrial Arts in several PA schools for 12 years. Alan was instrumental in improving the safety of school bus transportation in Pennsylvania. He also received an M.S. in Industrial Arts.
For 18 years Alan and his wife, Gail, wintered in Sun City, Arizona. In 2010, the couple made Sun City their permanent residence.
Alan is survived by his wife, Gail; two daughters, Dianna (Mike) Torta and Denise Adams; one granddaughter, Abigail; two sisters, Alice Kay Moorhouse also of Sun City, AZ and Elinor Snow; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
The family is requesting donations be made in Alan's name to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, ccfa.org.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 103rd Ave., Sun City on Wednesday, July 25th at 2:00 P.M.
