Dorothy E. Corcoran, 93, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Hospice of AZ. She was born in Sioux Falls, SD on October 12, 1919 to Irene and Ted Feyder. That is where she met her husband of 61 years, Dale who passed away on February 1, 2005. They moved to Sun City West in the early 1980's from the Washington DC Metro Area.
She was a loving mother of three and a devoted wife, daughter and sister. She was an inspiration to all her family and friends who aspire to live their life fully by her example to the very end. She loved to bowl, line dance, Wii bowl and she loved anything chocolate. She was an active and proud member of the Handicapables for over 10 years.
She was preceded in death by a sister Evie Myers, a sister Eileen Feyder, and brothers Teddy and Jim Feyder, and brother-in-law, Jim Corcoran.
She is survived by a son, Tom Corcoran and his wife Sandi, their daughters Brooke Alexander, her husband Wayne, their son and great grandson Brandon of Garland, TX, and Shannon Corcoran of Garland, TX; a son, Terry Corcoran of Honolulu, HI and her daughter Patti Harris and husband, Ron Harris of Waldorf, MD.
She is also survived by a sister, Donna Brown of Palos Verdes, CA, by a brother, Charles Feyder of Hibbing, MN. , many nieces and nephews and by a large extended family and many friends who loved her very much.
Visitation is from 4-6 P.M. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel, 13738 W. Camino del Sol, Sun City West, AZ 623-584-6299. Memorial Mass at 10:00 A.M. on May 22, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 19002 N. 128th Avenue, Sun City West, AZ. Inurnment at 2:30 P.M. with her husband at National Cemetery of Arizona.
