The Guest Book is expired.

Edward Delmore "Ed" Bailey, Colonel (USAF Retired), 84, went home peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at his home in Sun City West, AZ, with his wife and children at his bedside. Ed was born in Elizabethtown, PA, to the late Charles William and Genevieve Romaine Waters Bailey. Edward was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Madeline Marie Bailey Robinson.
Edward began his 33 year Air Force career in August of 1948 as an Airman at Lackland AFB, TX. On October 12, 1950, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and shortly thereafter proposed to his bride. After a beautiful December wedding in E-town, the couple started their amazing life together in Honolulu, Hawaii. After Ed and June retired from the Air Force in 1976, they began another 15 year career with the Bechtel Group and enjoyed several years in exotic places around the world.
Ed is survived by his wife, the love of his life, June Dolores Becker Bailey; four children: daughter Michele Renee Bailey, son Edward D. Bailey, Jr. married to Karen; daughter Elizabeth Ann married to Rick Christopher; and daughter Carol Ann married to Bob Alexander. He has eight grandchildren: Genevieve Ann, June Rebecca; Christopher Edward, Charline Marie; Kerry Michele, Kevin Thomas; James Wesley and Gregory Edward.
Ed is also the proud great-grandfather of 35 great-grandchildren, including three newborns in the past four months and a set of twins due early next year. Ed is also survived by his younger brother, Leland E. "Jake" Bailey and his wife, Marcia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Through out his life, Ed also served his Lord. He participated in and led Bible studies; taught Sunday school classes; served as Deacon in several churches; and served as a Christian financial counselor in an MMA community outreach program. He took part in several domestic and international mission trips and supported several missionaries through the years. His children are most thankful for their father's earthly representation to them of God's love for all His children.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Edward's Life Celebration Memorial Service 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 15, 2013, at the Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church 996 E. High Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
