Therold Walker Perkins, 89, a long time Arizona resident and World War II, Army-Air Force veteran, died May 2, 2013 in a Sun City hospital.
Mr. Perkins was a mechanical engineer and worked many years for the General Electric Corporation and subsequently Honeywell Systems, where he received his retirement.
His wife, Kathryn, predeceased him in July of 1982. He is survived by a son, Therold Larry Perkins; a daughter, Judy Tennyson; a brother, Sidney Perkins; three grandchildren; Karen Ansaldo, Jason Tennyson and Christina Tennyson; and two great-grandchildren, William Walker Tennyson and Spencer Sidney Tennyson.
He was a member of the Sun City Elks Lodge 2559 and was a Kentucky Colonel.
A memorial service will be held for Mr. Perkins on Saturday, May 25, 2013, 12:30 P.M. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 Cave Creek Road, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to the Disabled American Veterans (PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301).
