Marvin Batch (age 88) passed away February 25, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. Marvin was born in Pontiac, MI to the late Roy Batch & Pansy (Turner) Batch. Marvin was a World War II veteran, proudly serving in the US Army in Germany and France. He lived in Midland, MI where he worked as a welder at Dow Chemical Co. He retired at age 51, moving to the Sun City, AZ area in 1985. Since that time Marvin and his wife Betty worked together building, remodeling, and selling many homes in both areas.

He married Betty (Tyrrell) on March 6, 1948 and she survives him. He is also survived by their 3 children: Terry (Emily) Batch of Midland, MI; Lynne (John) Epert of Henderson, NV; and Kristi (Craig) Laurrell of Peoria, AZ; as well as grandchildren: Chad (Nikki) Epert, Melissa Heim, Hope Epert, David Epert, Sarah (Todd) Kajdan, and Ryan (Kate) Batch. Beloved grandson Jason Epert preceded him in death; 6 great-grandchildren survive him; Lauren and Evan Kajdan, Sydney and Aidan Heim, Chevela Rose Epert, and Jacob Epert; and sisters: Remonda Bearinger and Ilah Hughes; and brother, James Batch preceded him in death.
Marvin was respected for his ethics and known for his quick wit. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be so dearly missed.
A service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on March 8, 2013 at Veteran's National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, 23029 N, Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix.
