WILKES-BARRE - Mrs. Mary H. Eddy, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away, Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Timber Ridge Nursing Center, Wilkes-Barre. Born January 12, 1926, in Richmond, VA she was a daughter of the late Howard M. Hudson Sr. and Lida Ferguson Hudson. Mary was a 1944 graduate of John Marshall High School, Richmond, VA. She also attended Averett College in Virginia and Tennessee Temple Bible College in Chattanooga. Mary performed missionary work including child evangelism in Portsmouth, VA. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Plymouth, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend James Lee Eddy in 1988, and brother, Willis Hudson. Surviving are her sons, John and Peter Eddy and daughter, Ruth Eddy, all of Wilkes-Barre, PA, and brother, Howard M. Hudson Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Portsmouth, VA. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 31, from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 North Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre. Funeral services and interment will be held Tuesday at 11:00am from the Broyles-McGuire Funeral Home, 219 N. Main St. Union, West Virginia. Friends may call Tuesday from 10am until time of services.
