NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Charles O. Hart, 1/3/1923 -- 7/31/2103, "The - between the dates is what mattered." Charles was a Peninsula resident since 1946. He was a member of Pine Chapel Baptist in Hampton and was a longtime deacon in the Baptist church. He was lifelong member of the IBEW #1340. Charles is survived by his wife Louise; daughters Pam Blake and her husband Tom and Sandy Turner and her husband Charles (Ed); his son Wade Hart and his partner in life Jody Sorenson; a granddaughter Rhiannon Sellman and her husband Trey; and great granddaughter Isabelle and great grandson Brody. He is also survived by his sisters Kathleen Halla and Beckey Marker, both of Richmond. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 5, in the chapel of Amory Funeral Home, Grafton. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

We've been fortunate to be neighbors of the Harts for over 20 years. What a delight it was to talk with Charlie "over the fence" about any and everything. His passing will be sorely missed by us and the rest of the neighbors.
