Faherty, Rhonda Kay - Seaford  
SEAFORD - Rhonda Kay Faherty, 60, of Seaford, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on December 14, 2014. Born in Washington, North Carolina, Kay was a devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very kind hearted selfless person who cared very deeply for her family. She worked for many years in childcare and served as a nursery worker for many years. She was a long time member of Providence Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, Steve Faherty. She also leaves behind her children, a son Michael Faherty and his wife Leigh, two daughters, Rhonda Jean Smith and her husband Billy, and Jennifer Smith and her husband Justin all of Seaford, 6 grandsons and 5 granddaughters. She is also survived by a sister Carolyn Wiggins of Green Bay VA, two brothers, Randy Harris of Newport News and Jackie Harris of Washington NC. She was preceded in death by her parents Jasper and Rosa Lee Harris, a son Bobby and a grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00PM on Thursday December 18th at Amory Funeral Home in Grafton. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 19th at 11:00 at Providence Free Will Baptist Church in Hampton by the Reverend Richard Barnes and the Reverend Wade Parker. The family would like to thank Dr. Mitchell Shiffman and PA Amy James of Liver Institute of VA, Dr. John Mattern and the staff of Virginia Oncology and the doctors and nurses at Mary Immaculate Hospital ICCU. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to Providence Free Will Baptist Church 731 E. Little Back River rd Hampton VA, 23669. Arrangements by Amory Funeral home.

COLUMBUS, - Mrs. Gloria E. Newman Forbes, age 83, died December 21, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital/GT. Funeral services have been entrusted to Gunter and Peel Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Memorial Gardens of Columbus, MS with Jody Gurley officiating. Mrs. Forbes was born February 13, 1931 in Lynchburg, VA to the late Wince and Anna Mae Newman. She worked 22 years as the Business Clerk for the Army ROTC in Ft. Monroe, VA. She and her husband moved to Columbus over 3 years ago from Philadelphia, MS. She was a member of Masonic Lodge Auxiliary and Loyal order of Moose Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband David K. Forbes of Columbus, MS; daughter, Susanne L. Kight of Columbus, MS; grandchildren, James K. Kight, Jr. and Sarah E. Kight both of Columbus, MS; and 2 cousins, Paul D. Newman and Wesley C. Newman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Charity of your choice.
