WILLIAMSBURG - Lawrence "Larry" Jackson, 93, of Williamsburg, passed away on August 27, 2015 at the Hospice and Support Care of Williamsburg. He was born on August 9, 1922 to the late Harry and Sarah Brown Jackson in New York City. Mr. Jackson was a veteran, having served in the Navy in WWII and 26 years of Civil Service. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty Hill Jackson, two daughters, Pattie (Larry) Wolf of Littleton, CO, Mary Ann (Steve) Forrest of Chesapeake, VA; Son, Bill Jackson of Williamsburg, VA; two Granddaughters, Sarah Feinman of Denver, CO, Stephanie Forrest of Chesapeake, VA; two Grandsons, Cody (Bessy) Wolf of Littleton, CO, James Forrest of Fairfax, VA; two Great-grandsons, Mason Wolf, Wyatt Wolf; and his Great-granddaughter, Avery Wolf. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at St. Martins Episcopal Church in Williamsburg, VA, followed by a reception at First Colony Clubhouse. Burial will be at Arlington at a later date. Jenkins, Charles L. - Williamsburg  
WILLIAMSBURG - Charles L. Jenkins, 72, died on Wednesday, August 26, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Metcalf Jenkins; his brother Larry W. Jenkins and his wife Dana; his three children, Kerri Jenkins Rhodes and her husband, Taylor, Brian Jenkins and his wife, Michelle and Traci Jenkins Fairheart and her husband, Rusty; his six incredible grandchildren, Taylor Jr, Abby, Blair, Jack, Emma Rose, and Bailey. Charlie was an alumni of the University of Richmond and retired from Newport News Shipbuilding in 2005 after 37 years. He was a volunteer and a captain of Bennett's Creek Rescue Squad, was active in youth baseball, and loved playing golf with his family and friends. A visitation will take place on Sunday, August 30 from 11:30 to 12:30 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA, followed by a memorial service at 1pm. Jones, Otelia Riddick - Newport News  
NEWPORT NEWS - Mrs. Otelia Riddick Jones, 84, departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Winslow Jones, Jr. and 2 sons, Robert M. Jones and Kevin A. Jones. Otelia is survived by 6 sons, Myron S. Jones, Vincent K. Jones, Dwayne A. Jones, Bruce W. Jones, Darren G. Jones, and Ron C. Jones; 5 daughters, Linda D. Clark, Debra L. Jones, Karen D. Jones, Adawayna M. Davis, and Robin O. Jones; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 daughters-in-law, Brenda, Julie, Cheryl and Hye-Young; and a host of other loving family and many friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m. in Colossian Baptist Church. A home going service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015, in Colossian Baptist Church with the Rev. Peter A. Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 501 Reddick Road by 12:00 noon on Thursday.
