Cameron Sterling Hanson

HAMPTON - Cameron "Cam" Sterling Hanson died Friday March 29, 2013 at home. He was born April 14, 1970 in Hampton, VA to Zandra C. Kenney of Denver, Colorado and Michael Hanson of Hampton. Cam graduated from Phoebus High School and attended VCU. He was employed at Ferguson Enterprises. He was a former owner of Star Color Press, a model maker for D.E.I., and a driver for Schneider Trucking. Cam enjoyed playing guitar and drums, was an artist, loved riding his motorcycle, listening to music, and working with his hands. He loved nature and was always learning new hobbies. Cam is survived by his wife Michele Hanson of Hampton; his children Neil, Marly and Gabby; his father Michael (Katy) Hanson of Hampton; mother Zandra C. Kenney of Denver; brother Eric Hanson of Richmond and sister Jennifer (Justin) Colton of Alexandria. "Grandmother" Aggie Hogge and many other family members and friends. "There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart." A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in Hampton.
